Historical romance was one of the first genres that I ever fell in love with and it was refreshing to see a new part of history that I had never read before. I couldn't even imagine having to choose over the person you love and the life you've always wanted for yourself.Īlthough I've been reading romance for over 20 years this is the first historical romance that I have ever read that has African American main characters.
